At Okemo Mountain, of course! We grew up snowboarding here and we love it. Plus, it’s only 1 mile to the first chairlift.
Lake Pauline, Lake Rescue and Echo Lake are home to rainbow, brook, and lake trout, perch, bass, and pickerel. Lake Pauline is a lovely spot to fish. There’s a little pull-off on the road just before the Green Mountain Sugar House, at the intersection of E Lake Rd. and Rt 100, 2.8 miles from here. You can sit and fish right before the waterfall. Ask us for more fishing spots and where to get fishing equipment. The address you can plug into your phone is 16 E Lake Rd, Ludlow, VT. Drive to Red Bridge Rd to take a dip once you’re through with fishing.
Our favorite scenic hike in Ludlow is to Okemo’s Fire Tower. The fire tower rests on Okemo’s 3,343-foot summit and offers a panoramic view of green mountains, lakes, NY’s Adirondacks and NH’s White Mountains. Don’t miss this in the fall. Ask us for a map of directions to get to this hike. Perfect for kids and adults, as there are two points of entry making this a long or short hike.
