ROOMS

What’s the difference between your rooms? A little—and a lot. Each of our eight rooms is set up very different from one another, but all have the same cozy look and feel. Some are small, some are suites, some sleep two, some sleep six. Half our rooms have private bathrooms and half share nearby hall bathrooms with just one other room.

Are you family friendly? Absolutely. More than half of our guests have kids. Our property, rooms, staff and location—one block from shops, restaurants, breakfast cafes and more—make us one of the most fam-friendly locations in the Okemo Valley. (Interesting factoid? Guests with crying babies usually book our quietest and most sound-insulated room, Room 6.)

How do you describe your guests? We get that question all the time. As a Modern Vermont Inn, sometimes people just don’t know what to expect. We describe our guests as well-traveled, courteous, curious and fun— with the majority coming from CT, NY and NJ. Most are professionals, many bring their kids, some come alone—and a bunch come with friends as a group. One thing they all have in common: They’re here for good food and drinks, VT adventures, and they’re in bed before midnight—usually so they can catch first chairlift.

Wait a sec, I can get a dinner reservation if I’m a guest? Exactly. We only take reservations for parties of five or more—and for our Homestyle Hostel guests, even if you’re a party of 1. We like to say that “membership has its privileges.” (Note: Our sister property Main + Mountain comes with oh-so-many privileges as well, but unfortunately reserved tables at Homestyle Hostel is not one of them.)

Talk to me about the shared versus private bathroom thing. That’s just the way we roll—"lodging for every type of traveler.” For folks that prefer the traditional hotel experience, we offer inn rooms featuring queen beds, bunks, queen bed plus bunks, suites with living rooms—all with private in-room bathrooms. And for our lovers of more alternative experiences, we offer rooms that share bathrooms—always with just one other room—and a collaborative dorm-style bunk room with beds that are booked individually. Check out our Virtual Room Tours here.

Are the rooms comfy? Beyond. And all of them feature high-end memory foam mattresses, Egyptian Cotton linens and—ooooh la la—Body Bliss spa-grade toiletries. Plus Wi-Fi, ac, hypo-allergenic Northern Canada pillows and more. Check out our Virtual Room Tours here.

Do you have an elevator? We do not. But we have strong people who love helping great people carry their stuff to our rooms.

Cancellation Policy From time of booking until 8 days prior to your check-in, reservation is 80% refundable. From 7 days out until 2 days before you check-in, 50% of reservation is refundable. No refunds issued within one calendar day of your scheduled check-in (Example: If you are checking in on the 2nd, your reservation is non-refundable starting at 12:01am ET on the 1st).

Do you have parking? You know it—we offering parking (first-come basis) in two lots. We’ll provide you with a permit upon check-in.

Do you have Wi-Fi? Yes, and it’s super-fast.

Is breakfast included? All stays include daily self-serve Vermont breakfast, featuring coffee, tea, homemade granola and local Greek yogurt—available each morning from 4:30am-10am in our kitchen. (Espresso drinks available for purchase starting at 8am.)

Are you pet-friendly? We are not. Many of our guests board their pets at nearby Cavendish Canine Camp.

Are there TVs in the rooms? We have Apple TV in Rooms 5 and 6 only.

Where do I put my gear? All outdoor gear is stored in our on-site, secure heated mud room. (You cannot store any outdoor equipment inside.)

Do you have any ADA rooms? Yes, Room 8.

Is there ac? Yes, in all rooms.

RESTAURANT

Current menu? But of course—click here for our latest (and greatest).

What are the restaurant hours? We’re open Thursday-Sunday. The front door opens at 5pm and we stop seating at 9pm.

Do you take reservations? We only accept reservations for parties of five or more—and for Inn guests. Reserve here.

What are your restaurant policies? We're glad you asked. 1. We accept reservations for parties of five or more—and for Inn guests. 2. Walk-in parties of four or less are sat on a first-come basis—we cannot accommodate larger groups without reservations. 3. You must be present to be added to our waitlist (no “call-aheads”) and you’ll be seated when your entire party has arrived. 4. If anybody with a reservation shows up with less than five people, you’ll be considered "less than five" and added to our regular waitlist. 5. During peak nights, we ask tables of five+ to give up the table after two hours, parties of four or less after 1.5 hours. Why? So we can make more people happy by being able to get more happy people in for dinner. We just... want to feed the world. (Note for Main + Mountain guests: Our reservation program is an amenity for Homestyle Inn guests only.)

How far in advance do you take reservations? Exactly six weeks in advance.

Is there usually a wait? There is, but we’re worth waiting for. And remember, all good things come to those that wait.

How long is the typical wait? Most nights our wait time is about an hour (or more). Most people swing by, put their name on the list and walk across the street to our bar, Main + Mountain, where they have cocktails until we call and tell them their table is ready. Parties of two can often get lucky and sit right away.

How do you describe the food/service? Our casual, delicious restaurant has become the talk of the Okemo Valley foodie scene. Current menu here. Dinner service features a laid-back environment, a family style menu, locally sourced dishes and a unique “Vermont Fresh” dining format: Orders are placed and food is brought out one or two fresh dishes at a time for your table to share.

Do you have a kids’ menu? We don’t. We love kids—but because of our format we can’t offer specialized kids offerings. Our motto: If your kids like our menu (here), they’ll love our food.

Do you have a bar? We do. Come on down for a drink. If the bar is busy, feel free to bring some drinks up to your room. Or even better, walk across the street to our bar (Main + Mountain) and have a few rounds around the firepit.

Can we come by and eat at the bar? Maybe—our dining waitlist covers the bar seats as well.

Can I bring restaurant food/drinks to my room? Drinks and desserts, yes! Dinner, no. Just stop by the reception desk and place your order.

Do you offer take-out? We do not.

Can I bring my own alcohol to the property or restaurant? No.

Dress code? Anything goes. Come in your snowpants or finest stilettos—or snowpants and stilettos.
